Tom Wharton is a native Utahn, a graduate of Granite High and the University of Utah, and has been a reporter and columnist with The Salt Lake Tribune since 1970. He is a book author, retired officer in the Utah National Guard and an avid Great Salt Lake watcher.Tom’s primary current assignment is as a business writer, but he still writes outdoors, features and sports.
