A Description of the Eared Grebe and Bald Eagle Mortality Event in Utah During the Winter of 2013 – 14

We will discuss the investigation and events surrounding a mortality event that affected nearly 20,000 Eared grebes and over 60 Bald eagles that were wintering in the Salt Lake valley.

Leslie McFarlane is Wildlife Disease Program Coordinator, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.Leslie has worked for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources for 24 years. She has served as the Wildlife Disease Program Coordinator for the past 11 years. She is a native Utahn who enjoys working with wildlife and has a great love for the outdoors.
