Sarah was born and raised in the Salt Lake valley and has lived in different mountain places around the west as an adult. She didn't build a relationship with Great Salt Lake until 2019 when, after moving back to Utah, she visited Antelope Island for the first time. She was struck by the beauty and surrealism of the landscape, and began to get involved in matters of lake preservation. She has a background in psychology and believes the conservation of the lake represents a great need in the human psyche to connect to the natural world and repair ruptures in the alignment between soul, land and water. Sarah is a psychotherapist, musician and writer and trusts that the power of art can stir the soul to meet its greatest calling, which is requisite for the viable unfolding of humanity. In her free time, Sarah can be found exchanging poetry with the lake, dancing, reading, and spending as much time outside as possible.
