Molly is a Pathways Physical Scientist at the USGS Utah Water Science Center and is pursuing a PhD in Watershed Science at Utah State University. Her research is focused on dust: where it comes from, where it goes, what it’s made of, and how it affects people and ecosystems. She has spent hundreds of hours trekking across the dry lakebed of Great Salt Lake and is committed to increasing public awareness of the challenges the lake is facing.
