Bio: 

Tim Davis is the Executive Director of the Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ). For more than fifteen years, Davis has led five different state natural resource agencies in Utah and Montana. As Executive Director, Davis leads DEQ in its work to protect and improve Utah’s air, land, and water while supporting communities and growth throughout the state.

Before serving as Executive Director, Davis served as Deputy Great Salt Lake Commissioner and the Director of the Utah Division of Drinking Water. Davis also oversaw all water rights, water resources, drinking water, and water quality programs for the State of Montana for over ten years.

Additionally, Davis has represented Utah and Montana on numerous regional and national boards and commissions, including serving as the Chair of the Western States Water Council, as the Yellowstone River Compact Commissioner for the State of Montana, and on the Board of Directors of the Environmental Council of States.

Davis grew up in Lander, Wyoming, and spends most of his free time outdoors with his family and their awesome rescue dogs.
