The University Guest House is the main lodging location for the 2026 Great Salt Lake Issues Forum. There is not a room block for the conference; however, reservations can be made by calling 801-587-1000 and asking for the Campus Visitor rate. You may also reserve a room online by clicking here, select book, and use the code: CV. Rates vary based on room type and start at $190 + tax per night.

The University Guest House—University of Utah
This 180-room hotel on the historic Fort Douglas property features spectacular views of the Salt lake Valley and surrounding campus. Rooms have a single king or two queen-size beds, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, cable TV, iron & board, hair dryer, voicemail, and free wireless high speed Internet access. Amenities include free parking, free local phone calls, convenience store, fitness room, and laundry facilities.
The hotel is located just 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City with direct service on TRAX light rail system. With close proximity to the city and the Wasatch Mountains, endless activities are available right out the front door.
Getting There
Participants traveling by air should arrive at the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Airport is approximately 35 minutes driving time from the University of Utah campus – site of the conference.
Ground transportation (rental cars, Lyft, Uber, taxis, and bus information) is available near the baggage claim on the main floor of the airport.
Take UTA/TRAX light rail line from Salt Lake City Airport (GREEN LINE) to downtown Salt Lake City. Change to University Line (RED LINE) to U of U campus. Take pedestrian overpass to Fort Douglas campus and short walk to the University Guest House. Travel time to campus from downtown is approximately 23 minutes.
