Bio:
Timothy Hawkes is a business, legal, and policy expert focused on Great Salt Lake. He holds a JD from Columbia and has worked in water law and policy for 20 years. During eight years as a state legislator, he sponsored important bills on water conservation and Great Salt Lake. Professionally, Tim serves as Chairman of the GSL Brine Shrimp Cooperative, Interim Executive Director at Great Salt Lake Rising, and Senior Advisor to the College of Science at the University of Utah. He wears a lot of Lake-related hats: he chairs the Great Salt Lake Advisory Council, founded the Great Salt Lake Business Council, serves on the Advisory Board of the Great Salt Lake Watershed Enhancement Trust, and more.
