Bio:

Ted Balling works as Senior Advisor of Water Resources for Rio Tinto where he manages an extensive and diverse water right portfolio; manages water resources and water quality; and manages water, canal, and irrigation companies. He advises environmental permitting and reporting along with environmental emergency response. He also oversees water leasing and donations.

He earned a B.S. in Geoscience from the University of Utah. In his free time he volunteers doing stream restoration and cleanup at Salt Lake City’s Bend in the River, and restoration work with TreeUtah along the Jordan River. He enjoys open water swimming, live music, making wine, and being outdoors.
