Bio:

Rep. Hawkes holds a B.A. in Political Science from BYU and a law degree from Colombia University. Hawkes currently serves as General Counsel to Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp Cooperative, Incorporated. Prior to that he spent more than a decade as State Director for Trout Unlimited, a non-profit conservation group. Hawkes is a passionate public servant and has served District 18 in the Utah State House of Representatives since 2015. In this capacity he serves on a variety of committees, including the House Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee. In his free time he enjoys fishing, cooking, and gardening.
